Giants- Super Bowl 42 Champs

I have to be honest, I doubted Eli Manning in the beginning of the season.  It looked like we weren’t going anywhere and would’ve been another year down the pipes.  However, thanks to some critics such as Tiki Barber, I believe gave Eli the motivation to do better.  He was unstoppable in the playoffs and in Super Bowl 42.  As he said “I think I finally came out of my shell”, I think he was right.  Eli and his giants beat the undefeated Patriots and possibly one of the best teams of all time.  And he won MVP also.  He didn’t do it alone though either.  Other key players such as Ahmad Bradshaw, Plaxico Burress and the entire giants defense shut the patriots down.  For the first time this year, Tom Brady and the Patriots saw defeat, and it was at the worst time they could have witnessed it.  The giants were underdogs and proved that anything is possible.

What was your reaction and/or feelings after the guest speaker on friday?

I was absent to hear Chief Dan Daly but I’m sure he was a good speaker and had very useful information and taught us a lot according to Ms. Browne, who said he was a great guy.

What Does Catholic School Week Mean to Me

Catholic School week means a lot to me.  To me it means that this is a time that we all recognize catholic schools week across the country.  This means that we recognize them and that we realize how good catholic schools are and the events that happen during this week.

My Christmas Vacation and New Year Resolution

My vacation was a lot of fun.  I got pretty much everything i asked for for Christmas and my 16th birthday was a lot of fun too.  I don’t really have a new year’s resolution.  Maybe i’ll be nicer to my little brother and just nicer in general.

Why do you think bringing in food for Thanksgiving food drive is important?

I think it is important because if we didn’t bring in this food, a lot of people wouldn’t have a Thanksgiving.  Plus it shows that we could work together and act like these people are our family by giving them the food that we would eat on Thanksgiving.  Another thing is your doing it for a good cause and it shows how unselfish you are and how much you could do for the community and for the people around you.

Staph Infections

Across the country, the staph infection has been killing many people.  There have been many deaths over the past couple of weeks and the infection is still out there.  And the worst part is that the infection is still out there and there is no cure for it.  The only thing that you can only do to save yourself is to cover up open wounds, wash your hands constantly, and not to pass around germs.  I think that this is a big problem and if we don’t find a way to stop the infection it could be the end of the world as we know it.

Online Predator: Part 1, Homework

1.  That they really have a good way of catching online predators and if they keep up with the good work, they should catch more and more each day.

2.  Not before yesterday.

3.  Yes, creepy, weird, and seem nervous.

4.  No because most of the online predators they catch are older, in their 40’s or older.

5.  No, because they chose to do this and they are getting the correct punishment for the crime.

6.  They got all nervous and tried to deny everything they said and pleaded for forgiveness.

7.  No, not all the time but hopefully we have enough sense to stay away from those people.

8.  We should keep up with what Dateline is doing, it seems to be working.

9.  No because they are catching online predators and helping the law with things that they don’t have time to do.

10.  I think that dateline has covered everything and will keep doing a great job at catching these people and giving them the right punishment that they deserve.

11.  I have learned how dangerous it is and that we have to look out for these online predators and to be more careful on the internet and on myspace, facebook, and in chat rooms.

Homework: The Overuse of Instant Messenger and Texting

1. No because I think that I can go from my phone and abbreviating to going to typing a paper. It’s not problem for me.

2. You can either abbreviate words or type as fast as possible.

3. No not at all because I think it sounds pretty dumb to speak as you would type online.

4. Sometimes my writing is similar but very rarely the same. Not really.

5. Well when you are texting and instant messaging you can always type out the full words and not abbreviate everything.

7.  I saw tons of words and other things.  They had the actual meaning  to the abbreviation and words that were totally wrong.

The Overuse of Instant Messenger and Texting

1. In a way it is and in a way it isn’t. Its easier to abbreviate words but we tend to use these words in important papers and other things in life.

2. The pro’s are that you don’t have to always constantly call people to get in touch with them. It’s a lot easier to just send them a text or an IM and save yourself work. The con’s are that we abbreviate everywhere and sometimes that’s not a good thing.

3. Everyone would have to call everyone else and spend minutes and time wasted on a small conversation, when you can now just send a message filled with words and pick it up and read it whenever you get around to it.

Online Predators Part 1

1.  I look to see if they are funny, nice, cool, fun to hang out with and not annoying.
